What is coliving?
How is coliving different from renting an apartment?
Coliving offers to opportunity to live with other individuals & build community at Post Chicago. Our coliving units come fully furnished with household essentials & offers cleaning services once per week. Our all inclusive pricing makes your move in process seamless compared to traditional apartment renting!
Does coliving included furnished apartments?
Yes, our furnished coliving units come with premium furniture, fully equipped kitchens, in-unit washer/dryer, central air, weekly cleaning, and stocked household essentials. Move-in ready means less hassle for you.
Can I live privately in a coliving apartment?
Coliving apartments allow you the flexibility to rent your own room without being financially tied to your roommates. Our coliving units offer you privacy in your own room & you share common spaces with your roommates & soon to be friends!
Is coliving the same as having roommates?
Coliving isn’t quite the same as having roommates – it’s the upgraded version. At Post Chicago, you still enjoy shared common areas and a built-in community, but you’ll have your own private, fully furnished bedroom and an individual lease (so you’re only responsible for your portion).

Yes, they come completely furnished as they are part of our coliving style units.
Do apartments include in-unit laundry?
Yes – all units come with in unit, full-size washers and dryers to make your living experience easier!
Are kitchens fully equipped?

Yes – our furnished coliving units come with household supplies that are essential to a seamless move in process.
How do I pay rent?
We encourage rent payments online by ACH, debit or credit card through your resident portal. We also accept payments via check or money order at the leasing office. Cash is not accepted.

Is coliving cheaper than renting a studio in Chicago?
Often, yes — coliving at Post Chicago can be more affordable than renting a studio in Chicago. Because you’re sharing a larger, fully furnished space, your overall cost tends to be lower and more predictable. It’s a budget-friendly way to live in the city without sacrificing quality, convenience, or style.
Are utilities included in the rent?
Utilities are not included in base rent; however, our coliving residents pay a simple $70 monthly community fee that covers gas, water, trash, and other shared utilities. This makes budgeting easy and predictable, with no surprise bills or service setup required.
How do I apply?
Applying is simple and online. After scheduling a tour, you’ll receive an application via email. Once approved, you’ll sign the lease electronically and receive check-in instructions before your move-in date.

How often are common areas cleaned?
Common areas in our coliving apartments are professionally cleaned on a routine basis to keep shared spaces fresh, comfortable, and well maintained. Our team handles the upkeep of kitchens and living areas so residents can focus on enjoying the space — not managing a cleaning schedule.
Are there any hidden fees?
No — we believe in clear, transparent pricing. Your base rent is straightforward, and the only additional required charge is the monthly community fee, which covers utilities like gas, water, trash, and internet. We’re always happy to walk you through a full cost breakdown upfront so there are no surprises.

What parking options are available?
Just a heads-up — before you park, you’ll need the proper paperwork and a valid permit, and don’t forget to follow all posted signs.

How do I receive packages?
Is bike storage available?
Yes — secure bike storage is available for residents so you can safely store your bike on-site without cluttering your apartment. Just bring your ride and lock!
Is the building smoke-free?
Yes — Post Chicago is a smoke-free community. Smoking is not permitted inside apartments or common areas, helping maintain a clean, healthy, and comfortable living environment for all residents.
How do I enter maintenance request?
To submit a maintenance request, please log into your resident portal.
For emergency maintenance issues, contact the office immediately by phone.
If your situation requires emergency services (police, fire, or medical), please dial 911.
